FCS Event 3-31-10
Well folks last week was Fun, I wish more people had showed up. But man, was it a good blast from the past!
And this week I want to host another Predator server, before I return us to our regularly scheduled programing. On that note, lets talk about our regular scheduled programming.. well from now on I want to continue to do a Predator Server, but I also want to continue to host a FC2 server. And I think I found a nice medium between the two. FCS will continue to be one of the best servers for FC2, along with one of the best Predator Servers! To do this, after this week we will get into a groove. 2 weeks of FC2 followed by one week of Pred. So 2, then 1. I hope its simple.
And the reason why we’re having a extra week of Predator, is mainly because I’m just a little burnt out by FC2. And after playing a little bit of pred, its a little hard to go back. So in all honestly, everyone here should check out Far Cry Instincts Predator. First off its a lot of fun and has a Classic Arcadey Feel to it. Secondly, its Dirt Cheap. And third well, we will be playing it a lot. Whether it be on Wednesday or some other random day.
Now, downloading maps for Pred is a lot different from FC2. There are no official servers to download the maps from. The only way, aside from getting them from the player is to download them off FCmaps.net This is not something I can do thirty minutes before the server starts, like with FC2. So for now, all we can really take is a suggestion for a map to be played. This also means it doesn’t have to be your map, but keep in mind we may not be able to grab it for the server.
